Little Bean Announces Delivery Service: Another Boon to My Attempts at Work/Life Balance

I got word from the lovely Bianca Colgin, proprietor of the awesome Junius Heights children’s boutique, Little Bean, that she’s kicking off a “Hand Delivery” service today to help busy moms streamline their lives a bit.

Here’s how I see things going down (for me at least):

  • I realize Friday morning that my five year old has two (!) classmates’ birthday parties the very next day.
  • I also realize that I have no gifts whatsoever for said parties, and as my schedule that day is packed with back-to-back meetings, there’s no way I’m going to make it out to fetch gifts on my lunch break.
  • I log on to Little Bean’s online shop and purchase, say… a surprise ball for each kiddo (because what kid doesn’t like a surprise ball), books, and, what the heck, a couple of dresses for the girlies. (Clearly I’m feeling flush in this scenario).
  • I pay the $7 delivery fee, hit purchase, and the goods show up at my house between 5-7 p.m. that day. Done and done.

Wow, I feel more balanced just writing this.

There are a couple of caveats, namely orders placed after noon are delivered the next day, delivery is to Dallas zip codes only, and any returns are for store credit or exchange only. Keep those bad boys in mind and you’re golden.
