Into The Weekend…

PrintWho doesn’t like tacos? Round up the gang for TacoCon tonight, a meeting of like minds and hungry bodies at Four Corners Brewing Company near Trinity Groves in Oak Cliff. It’s free to attend, so just bring cash (and most of the taco trucks will take cards) for tasting everything in sight. Cervezas, of course, are optional. But delicious for adults.

There’s no special late night at the Crow Collection of Asian Art this weekend, but we think this great new exhibit from Japanese photographer Shinichi Maruyama is worth checking out anyway. Kusho appeals to our more childlike senses because the work involves throwing two things together—Indian ink and water—and capturing what happens the instant the two collide. We’re fans of spontaneity and experimentation, and this represents a bit of both (while still managing to be very beautiful, of course). The museum is free, so if it’s not a million degrees outside, you can make a Saturday afternoon of it with lunch in Klyde Warren Park.

Finally, Saturday is the last day of the Fashion Industry Gallery’s semi-annual Finale sale. Shop designer brands for your littles—and for yourself—at up to 75% off retail.
