A Mommy Makeover for the Post-Pregnancy Body Blues

mommy-makeover-dallas-(2).jpgweb

With all the new responsibility that comes with having a child there are few opportunities for personal attention, but that doesn’t mean that a mother doesn’t wish that she had time to tend to herself. Sometimes the idea of exercise and a little physical activity are fresh on the mind of a woman who is wrestling with the early stages of child-rearing. However, since the desire to regain a pre-pregnancy figure is usually outweighed by the actual time available to do so, the thoughts of getting back into shape are quickly relegated to the bottom of your “to-do” list.

Fortunately, a rigorous exercise regimen isn’t the only way for a woman to return to her former shape. Thousands of women across the country enjoy the transformation back to their previous selves with the help of a Mommy Makeover. A combination of the best plastic surgeries for women’s post-pregnancy woes, the Mommy Makeover can help reverse the effects of childbearing without making mom sacrifice too much time or energy away from her most important asset – her family. Below are some of the services that can be combined to create your unique Mommy Makeover plan:

Introducing a minimally-invasive alternative to liposuction, delivering visible results with very little downtime.

smartlipo-dallas-(2)
Most women who are considering surgical solutions for unwanted body fat put it off because they are worry about complications, scarring, and downtime that, frankly, most moms just don’t have. If this sounds like you, SmartLipo Laser Lipolysis is a safe, worthy, and exciting alternative to old school nip-and-tuck and liposuction procedures. SmartLipo’s minimally-invasive methodology allows physicians to make a single, tiny incision around the target area, and theninsert an equally tiny cannula (equipped with a precision laser) through the incision point. Once the laser has entered beneath the patient’s tissue, the doctor can navigate to the problem regions and begin delivering concentrated thermal energy to the areas of unwanted fat tissue. The high-precision device begins melting the fat through the emission of up to three laser wavelengths, offering doctors remarkable versatility in how they treat each patient.

A Safer Surgery with SmartLipo

Additionally, the small incision point and laser technology make SmartLipo safer than a conventional plastic surgery. For instance, the precision laser delivers enough heat to coagulate the tiny blood vessels surrounding the operative site immediately. Since there is little time for the vessels to discharge, the patient is far less likely to experience excess blood loss than he or she would during liposuction.

Since there is little blood loss and the incision site is so easy to conceal, the recovery time for SmartLipo does not leave a patient bedridden for weeks on end. He or she might be required to wear a compression garment for period of time following treatment, but many patients have reported that they are able to return to their daily routines in as little as a few days following surgery. The treatment also only requires a single session, rather than forcing you to return for additional sessions over the course of a few months.

SmartLipo in Dallas

The aesthetic specialty clinic FemSmart serves Irving and all Dallas area patients with quality SmartLipo performed by a medical professional. Dr. Charles Powell, the head doctor at FemSmart, is a favorite of Dallas programs like “Top Docs of DFW”, and was recently featured on both EyeOpener and an episode of MTV’s True Life; he has stayed on the cutting-edge of non- and minimally-invasive cosmetic treatments. Play Golf for Good

KidSwing-Trophy-Club

At D Moms blog, we know the importance of teaching your kids the meaning of giving back to their community. The KidSwing Golf Tournaments, benefiting the patients at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, are the perfect way to blend fun with philanthropy.

With KidSwing’s motto of “kids helping kids,” your child will have the opportunity to play golf in a non-competitive and exciting environment, while raising money for the hospital’s young patients. KidSwing is a nine-hole, best-ball scramble for kids ages 7 to 18 at all levels of golfing ability. There is no entry fee to play, but kids are asked to raise at least $100 through fundraising efforts. The tournament concludes with a pool party and awards program, where kids receive cool prizes for reaching benchmark fundraising levels. There are three KidSwing tournaments this summer: KidSwing Dallas on June 17 at Brookhaven Country Club, KidSwing McKinney on June 24 at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club and KidSwing Trophy Club on July 15 at Trophy Club Country Club. Shotgun start for each tournament is at 2:30 p.m.

To learn more about KidSwing or to register your kids to play, visit www.KidSwing.org, or call (214) 559-7656.
